Desperately Seeking New Jeans
My current faves, Old Navy’s “Sweetheart” skinny jeans, are becoming extinct. Why, Old Navy, WHY?! These are the best jeans ever.
I need to replace them, and soon. Here is what I want, read closely, then recommend:
- High rise (preferable), though I’ll take anything nearing the waistline. (Sorry, when you’re my size low rise jeans are shaaaaaaameful and should be as illegal as firearms.)
- Skinny leg; I will not waver on this. I hate bootcut because once you’re larger than a 10, every clothing company makes bellbottoms. Skinny leg jeans are the only way I can ensure that I will not look like some That 70’s Show reject.
- Un-distressed; listen, I’m adjunct faculty barely making enough money to get by — do you really think I want to exaggerate my poverty?
- Preferably non-stretch; lord how I miss jeans from the 1990s. So tired of watching the crotch die out after a few months.
