My Punk Rock Skating Club Idea
So I kind of want to start a skating club. Like, register it with the USFSA, rent ice time, and all that shit. But I don’t want it to consist of the typical corny skating nonsense — essentially I want to have a place where average folks come out to skate & improve their skills as a group. (And get a great workout, too!) And it would function like a non-profit — we’d throw fundraisers to ensure that every member can receive lessons, etc without investing a large sum of money. (There might be a dues structure, but it wouldn’t be ridiculous.) In fact, classes/lessons would be essentially free to members. The goal is to make skating accessible to people who may not normally pursue it due to lack of resources.
I have a lot I need to sort out, but I’m just putting it out there. Would this idea interest anyone? Or is this completely stupid?
