Capsule reviews of the last decade or so in celebrating the end of yet-another lousy year. What could 2009 possibly hold? How will I leave this decade?
2008: 12-hour countdown marathon on WPRB. Most fun I’ve ever had (next to 2002)!
2007: Making Time at Transit, uneventful and slightly rainy.
2006: Spinto Band & the Teeth at Tritone.
2005: Tritone, Transit, and babysitting people who got waaaaaay fucked up.
2004: South Philly house parties.
2003: Screaming at the top of my lungs in the middle of Broad Street, “WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE THE MEGAN GECKLER SHOW?!?!”
2002: The legendary Making Time NYE warehouse party!
2001: Three 4 Tens at the Upstage, RUBA Club, ill-advised late-night hanging out with a dude.
1999: Out in the PA ‘burbs with a friend, completely ill. Went to sleep before midnight.
1998: Went to Penn’s Landing, blacked out from drinking, threw up in my bed.
1997: Spent with family in NJ.
