Tuesday Night Karaoke Club: Come Help Sara Out

As I’ve mentioned numerous times before, my best pal Sara Sherr and I used to book shows. After Plain Parade closed up shop, I went to grad school and Sara continued to put on shows, as well as host karaoke nights.

Currently she hosts a night on Mondays at the Khyber, but this week she’s been given the opportunity to try out for the coveted Tuesday night karaoke at National Mechanics. NM is a great space in Olde City (don’t look at me like that; not everything in OC is at its tube toppiest!) housed in the former Revival space, and features great food and events.

This is only a try out for the slot, so that means if she can get a ton of people out, they will keep her on. I would love for this to happen because NM is a great space and it would be a fantastic opportunity for her.

So please, help me help Sara out. Please consider doing one of these things:

  1. Reblog/retweet this post.
  2. RSVP for the event above.
  3. Share the event link on Facebook.
  4. Come on out to participate or observe the mayhem.

I know Sara would be truly appreciative of it, and I would be equally psyched!

Internet home of Maria Tessa Sciarrino. Please leave your shoes at the door. I don't like dirt being tracked through the apartment.

I host a radio program of the same name on WPRB 103.3 FM and have been blogging since September 2000. Her Jazz was the first music blog in Philadelphia. And then I shuttled myself off to graduate school.

Anyway, in its current reincarnated form, Her Jazz is a discussion spot for music and the ephemera of life.
