Man dies from self-inflicted wound on Liacouras Walk →
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this happened at my alma mater yesterday. Liacouras Walk, for those unfamiliar with Temple, is one of the major walkways on campus. This particular location is one of the busiest and highly trafficked. It appears that the person may have been a Temple student at one point, but all the reports seem to differ on this. It hardly matters. I am thinking of that person today, their family/friends, the witnesses of this tragic incident, all of my friends/colleagues at the university, and anyone else who is trying to make it through the day. I lost one of my former students to suicide this past fall and it hurts to think other people will be experiencing a similar, perhaps more intense, pain over this experience.
