Fast Food Nation

December 17th, 2007

Aside from fucking with its customers for a buck, the whole ad backfires at the moment its employees stand there, unwilling to handle customer grievances. I’m sure Burger King is trying to point out customer loyalty, but you have to wonder what kind of person would be loyal to them after watching this. Wow.

Also, not that I’m really one to care about emo bands, but does Atreyu know about the existence of this ad?

something similar happened to a friend and i at a BK ten years ago, except they didn’t just run out of whoppers, they had run out of burgers altogether. we didn’t freak out; we just got fish sandwiches instead.

given my lack of familiarity with them, i thought that kid might actually BE in atreyu!

I should state for the record that I know absolutely nothing about Atreyu the rock group. Since R.J. Reynolds/Rolling Stone and Greyhound Bus Lines/XLR8R were borrowing/etc likenesses of musicians w/o permission, I wondered if this was part of a growing trend….
