OK, its true, so I spent a good chunk of today lolling around the internet searching for the right theme out there. As someone who’s designed a ton of sites, I think I’m allowed to be lazy in this respect. I’m getting to the point where even tweaking existing code is too much work. Here is my official, art-school-degreed, critical analysis of the Wordpress themes I viewed: BAAAARF.

In fact, the more and more I browsed, the angrier and more visibly disappointed I became. In fact, I’m feeling like I wanna cry from the wanton disregard for design and color theory.

Of course, it’s easier to bitch about what’s wrong than what’s right. And I’m gonna tell you what’s right. Warpspire, Binary Moon and maaaaybe Squible. To credit, Warpspire did create the template I’m using right now. And I do like it a lot, for the most part. But I’m growing bored and I think it’s time for a new outfit.

Perhaps there’s someone reading this right now, perhaps even YOU, who would like to take a stab at designing a custom template for me? I have notes, scribbles, meticulous watercolor drawings, aborted Photoshop sketches and more; I just want someone to turn it into a reality.

You have no idea how rare it is for me to ask for H-E-L-P. I’m usually content to do it myself but man, am I swamped these days. I’lll repay you in one of the following: dinner, booze, plain parade shows or moving assistance.
