trouble everyday
Friday, December 2nd, 2005» when someone is named lady sovereign, was drama not anticipated? according to eyewitness reports, lady sov came on around 12:30, voiced complaints with silk city’s sound system [like everyone else in the world], played one song and left the stage. upon her exit of the club, she kicked someone’s bike and punched the payphone outside. R5 management was able to calm her down before she lobbed her water bottle at the club; later on she knocked one of the speakers to the ground. and yet, this is nothing compared to the time ari up played sugartown.
» before that, yesterday’s big news item was the sex photo scandal at upenn, which by the evening had all charges dropped due to media attention. you know, sometimes i cant believe i work here.
in my opinion, if there is something you don’t want to be photographed, don’t do it in a space where there’s high visibility. this is not advocating sexual prudence but id like to see people think about what possible outcomes come from their actions. for example, say stupid shit on the internet, and it will wind up on a blog, messageboard or elsewhere. have sex in front of a plate-glass window in high proximity to college students, expect to be photographed/ridiculed on the internet.
