THE DEAD MILKMEN will be getting together one more time to benefit the Dave Blood Fund. Dave Blood commited suicide earlier this year. The show will be on 11/21 @ the Trocadero in Philly. Dandrew of the Low Budgets will be filling in on bass guitar.

i find this only mildly less morbid than the ongoing adam boxleitner benefits, although it’s unclear why. i’m opposed to almost any benefit one can imagine, if only because it’s still a part of that “ask not what your country can do for you” vibe that’s been stalling a lot of major political action (like for fully paid health care, incl. mental health care).
on the other hand: boxleitner went from being “alive” to being dead, and i don’t think anyone locally has done so much as nudge someone to say, “hey guys, what are we up to now.”
but that’s beside the point: they are pretty good draws, aren’t they?

You shouldn’t talk about things you obviously don’t know about.
Adam is alive. Adam did not kill himself. The benefits for Adam are clearly not “morbid”… Especially since they are actually a benefit to him and to help his family with the hospital bills.
