9/13 - Her Jazz
The Khyber, 56 S. 2nd St, Philadelphia
Holy Mary Mother of Christ, its Friday the Thirteenth AND AND AND RYE COALTION are playing downstairs. Needless to say, I’m behaving like a crazed schoolgirl. If you aren;t familiar with Rye, oh boy, get with it!

9/14 - Sugar Town presents…
Seana Carmody & Emily Sparks

Trocadero, Tenth & Arch Sts., Philadelphia
Seana used to play in one of my favorite 90s-era bands called The Swirlies and then went on to front Syrup USA, whose lone record, All Over the Land, manages to make Helium’s [fronted by the abovementioned Mary Timony] lyrics look quite tame. Speaking of Ms Charming Melodee, Seana produced Mary’s first solo effort. ’nuff said.

today’s show, july 22nd, is now up.

a big thank you goes out to everyone who called to wish me a happy birthday. my regular reluctance towards requests will resume on the next Her Jazz, august 5th.

today our tech director was doing repairs in the main studio, so we’ve been broadcasting out of the mirror one. this was the first time we’ve done this and it seems to be going smoothly. the only drawback is that the telephone doesnt work in there, so i missed a fair amount of calls. but hey, i warned you about that :)

so did you think my “audiobiography” worked or not? drop me an email and share your thoughts.

July 8th’s show has now been listed. I’m working on setting up the archives as we speak, so look for that in a week or two.

My next show on WPRB is July 22nd. This show happens to fall on my birthday, so I’m going to create my autobiography through song. I’m also going to throw out trivia questions during the set - lucky winners will receive some sort of consolation prize.

We’ll see how it goes. The only way to know is to tune in.
