Thanks to everyone who listened

Monday, June 24th, 2002

Thanks to everyone who listened in today, especially over the internet. It seems our realserver was acting funny, which I chalk up to many people checking us out online.

Today’s playlist is up and I’m currently in the process of archiving past ones.

My next radio show is July 8th 2002. Stay tuned for details about it, I’m thinking about having a live performance become a regular feature of my show. The next Her Jazz at the Khyber is July 12th 2002.

Don’t forget today’s guest, Bill Ricchini, plays at the Khyber this Friday (6/28) with Elf Power, The Gerbils & The Elevator Parade. If you enjoyed his set, you should definately see what it sounds like with a full band.

Once again, thank you.

Her Jazz is on this

Sunday, June 23rd, 2002

Her Jazz is on this Monday June 24th, and we’ve got a special guest!

Bill Ricchini will perform live at 3:00pm EST.

If you’re a fan of Elliott Smith and/or Nick Drake, don’t miss out. His debut release, Ordinary Time, was awarded “Best Unreleased CD of 2001″ by Salon.com:

“A homespun work of quiet beauty and low-key charm, Bill Ricchini’s “Ordinary Time” is something to talk about. Billy Ricchini is an unassuming South Philly boy with a genuine knack for the kind of hushed pop that made Elliott Smith’s first few acoustic albums one of the defining artistic statements of ’90s and Belle and Sebastian a cottage industry.” — Joey Sweeney

Feel free to IM questions during the interview.

If you find yourself with no plans for Friday June 28th, check him out at the Khyber in Philadelphia. Also on the bill are Elf Power, The Gerbils and The Elevator Parade.
