words cannot describe the hilarious events which occurred on saturday/night in princeton.

so the clear channel banned song list was a quasi-hoax, a half-truth. someone at the company put together a list but it was not formally distributed. however, they deny doing this. but they also dont. eh? confused, good. join the club.

i suppose it just makes me curious as to what would be an acceptable song right now in these precarious times.

should i start writing songs about flags? will i not be allowed to address the grief and sadness that is in the hearts of millions of people now? is trying to cope and confront the situation just not right? what is? “oops i did it again?”

Girlschool has a new line up. okay, what was that law about aging rockers and leather?

if anything infringes on my personal freedom, its the sight of over-40 people wearing leather. no no no no no.

radio free america

fine, let clear channel ban all the songs they want. i hope the public is smart enough to realize that listening to a radio station that has the same exact programming as a 1,000+ other stations is downright blind consumerism.

in fact, i hope a group like metallica gets fucked [even in a small way] by this act; perhaps if they werent such bitchy bitches about digital downloading technologies in the first place, i might have an ounce of respect for them.

list of groups on the list above which i am glad ill never hear again when i turn on a crappy radio station:

Metallica / P.O.D. / Rage Against the Machine / Tool / Steve Miller / Dave Matthews Band / Alanis Morrissette / Barenaked Ladies / Billy Joel / Elton John / Third Eye Blind / Phil Collins / Alice in Chains / Everclear / Filter / Korn / Smashing Pumpkins / System of a Down / Limp Bizkit / Sugar Ray / Local H / Slipknot / Bush / 311

i have to admit, im a bit curious about this kind of move - arent these lousy bands 75% of their programming on an hourly basis? i wonder how a move like this, affects clear channels business.

and perhaps, independent and college radio stations might have a renaissance, where bands like the zombies can be heard again.

does this count as a rant? i was going to write more, but frankly, i gotta run.
