thesis update: slowly but surely
February 21st, 2001thesis update: slowly but surely work is being done. car rentals have been confirmed and film keeps getting purchased. not that you care, but i have a group critique on wednesday, and hopefully a full size proof print.
ive never considered doing this work digitally - i like to be as physically involved with my work as possible. developer has ruined most of my clothes, and if there was a way to eat a photograph, i would do it in a second. [hence, the infamous “edible photograph” incedent]
there’s a level of control that i didnt get by making traditional c-prints. thats the big selling point to sitting in front of a computer for hours on end. seeing my proofs the other day, sealed the deal.
i think i am going to take a nap now. im about to pass out from all this verbal grunting. serves me right for having a crazy and wonderful weekend with guided by voices. my health may have suffered, but my faith is completely restored.
